The successful applicant should have experience in all aspects of a very busy hotel, including grills, fryers and mise en place. The team is dynamic and motivated and the successful applicant should be confident working within the crew supporting Head Chef as well as operating independently. The best candidate will be a skilled and experienced kitchen professional.
The Sous Chef will also support head chef in kitchen management including administration tasks including training, continuous improvements and mentoring.
About You
- Quality driven foodie chef with eye for details
- Technically sound cooking skills with modern approach
- IT savvy with proven administration skills
- Proven hands on kitchen Experience
- Current trade qualification (Cert III in Commercial Cookery)
- Food safety supervisor certification
- Awareness of the dietary requirements of the elderly (desirable)
