The Asia Pacific region currently includes Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Singapore, with approximately 1900 employees.
As we continue to evolve and improve our service offering, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager, Victoria. Reporting to the GM, Transport, you will be responsible for leading the state transport operation to ensure effective & efficient execution of the day to day operation in line with business objectives. You'll work with the Transport Team to look for growth opportunities within the state, developing strong commercial relationships that will fit the current strategic mix. Managing a team of Transport Supervisors, a Scheduler, Planner, Administrator and Drivers, you'll champion engagement and performance through active leadership, vision and communication.
Importantly, you'll want to create a climate of innovation where the team feel encouraged to think outside of the box, share ideas and celebrate success together.
Key responsibilities & deliverable include, but are not limited to:
- Achieve TRIFR <5 and LTIFR <1 for team
- Achieve annual contribution target performance of budget or better
- Achieve DIFOT of 98% or better
- Ensure there are minimal customer service contractual issues related to Transport performance
- Sub-contractor management & engagement, ensuring CoR compliancy, timely invoicing/payment processing
- Maintaining monthly Transport scorecard & weekly TMS cut-off requirements
- Building engagement through team development
To be successful, you will have:
- 10 years + experience in a similar role within the Transport/3PL industry
- Experience leading teams to high levels of performance and engagement
- Excellent understanding of CoR principles (NHVLR, Mass/Fatigue Management)
- Strong aptitude in developing and implementing financial budgets, targets and reports
- Proven track record in managing customer relationships and issue resolution
- Uncompromising safety focus - you're a respected leader in the implementation & champion of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality
- Strong experience with asset management and working within regulatory frameworks
- IT proficiency - MS Office, WMS, TMS
