As we continue our transformation and growth journey in the region, we have an exciting opportunity for a talented State Heavy Vehicle Compliance & Training Coordinator to ensure transport operations across Queensland are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements and aligned to overall strategy and business plans.

Reporting to the National Heavy Vehicle Compliance & Training Manager, your focus will be on delivering and implementing the strategy for ongoing compliance while always striving to continually evolve and improve.

It's important that you are a passionate heavy vehicle compliance & training professional who fosters a flexible team approach focused on safety, efficiency, waste reduction, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •          Working with the team to conduct and close out audit processes.
  •       Gathering evidence of compliance for internal supply chain operations & external contractors.
  •       Standardising system to review work driver work diary sheets for compliance.
  •       Review driver run sheets and load dockets randomly for COR compliance.
  •       To routinely analyse interrogate fleet/telematics data to identify “drivers at risk” and “roads that risk drivers” and work with Lineage management and local authorities to implement risk mitigation plans and actions.
  •       Complete risk analysis on a needs basis where there is an identified gap, uncertainty surrounding processes or changes to procedures and legislation.
  •       Work with and support business divisions to improve operating processes to decrease risk in line with analysis findings.
  •       Communicate risk analysis findings, outcomes, discussions and corrective actions to HSE management and responsible parties. Work with fleet management to ensure that all Lineage operated HV are Mass accredited.

 To be successful, you will ideally have:

  •    Experience in a similar role withing Heavy Vehicle Industry.
  •       Qualifications in Trainer & Assessor, Auditing is ideal.
  •    Experience leading and managing the training and compliance and/or safety function in the transport industry. A strong track record in providing driver training and/or education services to the transport industry with demonstrated working knowledge & competency in heavy vehicle compliance management (Mass, NHVS, COR, fatigue) in either an operational or regulatory (i.e. government agency) context.
