As part of our continuing transformation and growth journey, we are now looking to appoint an Operations Manager for our Hume Rd facility in Melbourne.

Reporting to and partnering with the site General Manager, you will assist in ensuring the facility is operating in a safe, compliant, profitable and cost-efficient manner whilst ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and service is being delivered.

Key KPIs/Deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with leading site safety initiatives and be a visible safety champion, ensuring company safety policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Role modelling Lineage values and behaviours by leading by example, enabling effective collaboration between teams.
• Ensuring agreed customer service levels ae achieved on a consistent basis and regularly reviewing operational performance and addressing any issues.
• Supporting and managing performance of the team, including reviewing KPIs, ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved and inventory is managed.
• Ensuring daily and weekly labour and resourcing requirements are met.
• Ensuring productivity outcomes are achieved via direct supervision and allocation of tasks.
• Seeking out and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance and increase customer service levels.
• Adhering to and keeping informed of all relevant legislation, product safety and quality issues, scientific and technical developments and industry codes of practice.

To be successful, you should ideally have:

• Extensive experience in a similar role within a cold storage environment.
• Strong understanding of key regulatory rules around a range of commodity types, including blast freezing and chilling, handling, HALAL, EXDOC.
• A strong understanding of key regulatory rules around a range of commodity types including blast freezing, chilling and handling, HALAL, EXDOC.
• Previous experience in an Operations Supervisory capacity, with strong knowledge of administration processes in a 3PL environment.
• Experience leading a medium-sized team of warehouse operators.
• Experience with labour planning and an understanding of costs, productivity and profitability (P&L).
• Experience in managing KPIs to support optimal operational performance & continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues.
