We have a couple of opportunities for a skilled and experienced operators to join the Roads Team. 

As a Plant Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking works as directed by the Supervisors or Manager Civil Infrastructure.
  • Regularly operating at least 3 plant items including large and small rollers, water cart, skid steer, large and small excavators, backhoe, loader, MR/HR truck.
  • Undertake work on
    • Guardrail maintenance and replacement
    • Traffic Services
    • Drainage
    • Concreting
  • Undertake On Call Duties (after hours) on a rostered system

As the Grader Operator you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking works as directed by the Supervisors or Manager Civil Infrastructure.
  • Competently operate heavy combination vehicles and/or grader and/or pave liner.
  • Coordinate and lead a small team of road construction or maintenance crew under the guidance of the road Supervisors.
  • Conduct, Manage and actively participate in all toolboxes (On site and off site), safety and hazard identification meetings.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

The Plant Operator is  a Grade 3 position has a salary range from $52,452 to $67,143  gross per annum plus superannuation. The Grader Operator is a Grade 4 positions and has as a salary range from $58,047 to $74,305 gross per annum plus superannuation

The starting salary will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the position.
