MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - Night shift
As the largest provider of Linen into the Health sector, our Dandenong Plant is looking for an industry experienced fitter to lead our growing team on night shift. Dandenong is the largest Health Specific Laundry in Australia and we are looking for a hand on leader that can work with their team providing clear direction and support.
Night shift is the allocated time for PM's and repairs, so it is important your time management skills are strong, you have proven technical skills and are confident using computer-based software. Experience in laundries is preferred but not required.
The Role
• Coordinating and allocating work to ensure that service and repairs to plant and equipment are carried out in accordance with company and legislative regulations.
• Supervising maintenance activities conducted on safety critical equipment and proactively drive a positive safety culture within the team.
• Providing coaching and overseeing the training and development of a small team.
• As a key member of our maintenance team you would be responsible for coordinating & maintaining the site plant and equipment, e.g. Mechanical maintenance of industrial washing machines, dryers, conveyors, ironers, and folding machines.
• Co-ordinating and supervising the work of contractors when required.
About You:
• Previous Supervisory experience required
• Excellent written, verbal communication & computer skills
• Qualified trade recognised Fitter
• Knowledge and application of WHS requirements
• Proven experience in the relevant sectors of the facilities maintenance
• Industrial Fault-Finding skills and experience
• Industrial Maintenance skills and experience
• Manufacturing or processing industries experience
• Mechanical Installation skills and experience
• Engineering Drawing interpretation and Understanding
• Effective Communication skills
• Good team player with the ability to build productive working relationships
There will be a preference for candidates who have:
• Industrial Laundry Experience or similar FMCG
• Advanced Boiler HRWL (or willingness to obtain)
• Confined Spaces Entry (or willingness to obtain)
• High risk work licences - Elevated Work Platform/Working at Heights
• The ability to read Pneumatic and Hydraulic Schematics
• A knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems
• PLC experience (or willingness to obtain)
• Hydraulics and Pneumatics installation, maintenance and fault-finding skills and experience.
