Customer Care Officer
We are looking for a Customer Care Officer to work in our North Rocks Laundry. The Customer Care Officer role is responsible for providing support to the business with tasks including data entry, phone and email enquiries, invoicing, maintenance of customer database, general administrative tasks.
- Shift – Monday to Friday
- Hours – 8:00am to 4:06pm
- Commencement – ASAP
- Clerks Award Level 2 - $27.17 per hour + super
North Rocks Laundry is part of Linen Service Australia, the largest Textiles Management and Laundry operator in Australasia. Our Linen Laundry plants manage the textile and laundry requirements of customers in the Healthcare, Accommodation, Hospitality and Aged Care Sectors.
Duties
The Customer Care Officer's indicative typical duties and skills at this level may include:
- Reception or switchboard duties responding to enquiries, as appropriate, consistent with their knowledge of the organisation’s operations and services or where presentation, or the use of interpersonal skills is a key aspect of the position;
- Receive calls and review shared customer care email
- Have some accountability for quality of outcomes
- Escalate customer issues to correct laundry or responsible person
- Use common call centre technology
- Enter and receive data
- Provide service such as sales and advice for products and services, complaints or fault enquiries
- Operation of business equipment including computerised radio or telephone equipment, computers and printing devices
- Word processing, such as the use of a word processing software package to create, format, edit, correct, print and save text documents such as standard correspondence and business documents
- Maintenance of records or journals (or both) including initial processing and recording relating to the following customer order entries
- Computer applications, including using a software package which may include one or more of the following functions:
- Create new files and records;
- Spreadsheet or worksheet;
- Following standard procedures and using existing models or fields of information;
- Provide general advice and information on the organisation’s products and services such as at the front counter or by telephone.
Skills & experience
- Strong Communication Skills
- Proficiency in Numeracy and Literacy
- English proficiency
- Ability to Multitask, and a Can-do attitude
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Good Customer Service Skills, ability to negotiate with customers, and problem-solving skills
- Previous Experience with POS systems DCCS desirable
- Previous Experience with AS400 desirable
- Strong Time Management Skills to meet established deadlines
- High Attention to Detail for accurate data entry
- Ability to work autonomously or in a team as required
- Ability to adapt to new systems
