About the Role:

Join our team in our Liverpool NSW bakery as the Assistant Production Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day management of baking operations.

In this key role your responsibilities will encompass various aspects including manufacturing, quality assurance, team management, maintenance, and sanitation. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the facility's performance in baking output, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and workforce efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Production Manager in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency and safety throughout the Bakery.
• Assist in planning and coordinating bakery production processes to maintain a continuous flow of high-quality products.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies, food safety standards, and company procedures at all times
• Support the selection, onboarding, and development of bakery employees.
• Mentor and develop team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations for employee development.
• Manage rostering, scheduling, and payroll activities efficiently.
• Conduct routine safety and process walks to monitor manufacturing functions, proactively identifying and addressing any potential issues.
• Foster effective communication and relationships within the team and across the organization.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive leader, a do-er who thrives in a dynamic environment where quality, safety and efficiency are paramount.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• 2+ years' experience in a complex manufacturing environment, ideally within the FMCG/food industry.
• Previous track record in team leadership.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and ability to rapidly learn new systems.
• Strong people management, conflict resolution, problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop, engage and motivate teams.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, adapt to various situations and work effectively in a team environment.
• Great communications skills, with ability to adjust communication style to wide audiences.

Shift Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 1pm-10pm; Sunday: 6am-3pm
