About the Role

We are looking for a self-driven individual to join the team in our Liverpool bakery as Production Operative. The role is initially for a 12-month contract with potential for extension or a pathway to permanent. 

Shift Hours:

Monday -Thursday: 7.30am-3.30pm

Saturday: 9.30pm-6.30am 

Key Responsibilities

• Sets up & inspects machinery to ensure efficient start up and smooth operation
• Checks and adjust various parts for proper alignment, rotation, etc.
• Weighs and adds proper amount of ingredients to mixer at appropriate times.
• Familiar with proper operation of mixing machinery and safety checks.
• Understands scheduling
• Ensure product quality is always within specification and make adjustments to achieve highest quality within specified parameters.
• Conduct routine line inspections to address potential food safety and quality risks/concerns

Selection Criteria (in general):

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry will be highly regarded.
• Level of physical fitness and resilience; able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Effective communication – written and oral
• Understanding and application of all safety procedures
• Quick learner
• Good product knowledge
• Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative
• Ability to work tight timescales and under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
