Your new role:
We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to support our busy Reception based at Eight Mile Plains.  This is a fixed term position for 12 months.  This position will work alongside our Receptionist and is primarily responsible for a range of duties and administrative tasks, which is key in the smooth running of Multicap operations. Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will provide receptionist duties along with general administrative assistance across the organisation. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing a continuous front office presence during office hours and contributing to the efficient functioning of the office by answering phones, directing callers/visitors to the appropriate staff and assisting with routine enquiries
  • Directing a high volume of phone queries to the right department
  • Distributing organisation correspondence appropriately including mail, faxes, memos, website queries, emails, job applications, donations books, petty cash books etc
  • Operating office equipment including photocopier, printer, laminator etc. and arranging any maintenance or repairs as required
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Booking travel and accommodation for staff as required 
  • Processing customer orders and ensuring ordering systems are kept accurate.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of two years’ experience in administration or similar role and will be proficient in Microsoft Office.  The ability to multi-task and prioritise work appropriately, whilst maintaining strong customer service is also required. Importantly, having a positive attitude towards people with disabilities is a must for all candidates and if successful you will adhere to Multicap's values, code of conduct and health and safety workplace requirements.
