Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Facilities and Operations professional to join our College community as Director of Facilities and Projects.

 

This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing in January 2025. 

 

The position plays an important role in directing and managing the Services team at the College. With some 15 services staff, the position provides operational support to the Executive Director – Business Services in the areas of Capital & Minor works, Maintenance, Grounds, Gardens, Laundry, Cleaning, Waste Management and Operations. The position also plays an important role as on-site Caretaker for the College.

 

Through exceptional facilities management, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leadership and management of the Services Department including 15 staff
  • Providing support and advice to the Executive Director – Business Services in the area of Facilities management and oversight of Capital and minor works
  • Ensure a secure, safe and amenable campus environment for the enjoyment of all Marist staff, students and community members
  • Respond to emergency situations on campus, including but not limited to: fire alarms, security alarms, lockdowns, flooding or safety incidents
  • Be available on-call weekday evenings, weekends and during holiday breaks or as organised

 

The remuneration for this position is $130,000 per annum, plus accommodation (adjacent to the College) and use of a College owned Vehicle.

 

Essential qualifications include:

  • Facilities based administration experience with a working knowledge of building operations.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant to the position
  • Blue Card (current)
  • A current National Police check (on the acceptance of the position).
