Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.
The college has a vacancy for a Greenkeeper. This is a full-time continuing position. Normal hours will be 76 hours per fortnight, starting and finishing times will be 6:30am–2:36pm, including a half hour unpaid meal break. The hourly rate is $38.61 per hour.
The successful candidate for this position will have a Cert III in Sports Turf Management or Greenkeeping and experience in this area. Experience in turf cricket pitches and line marking advantageous.
This is an active and physical position on the team that maintains the school sporting fields and grounds to a high standard.
Essential Criteria
The ideal applicant will have:
- Manual Car licence
- Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team and unsupervised
- Fit and able to carry out physically demanding work
- General grounds and gardens maintenance including the operation of Fairway Mowers, Tractors, small plant machinery including and not limited to, mowers, brush-cutters, blowers, hedger etc
- Excellent attention to detail
- Similar background work history preferred
- Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College
- Working with children check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain one
