Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. The college has a vacancy for a Facilities Assistant. This is a part-time position, for 20 Hours per week, Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is $34.17 per hour.
The primary function of this role is to assist in the maintenance of the College Pool Complex both inside the complex and the surrounding carpark and gardens. There is a range of roles and tasks required to maintain the pool complex to a high standard ensuring that it is a safe, clean and welcoming area for both College and external events.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and service tools and equipment regularly stored within the Pool Complex
- Check pool plant operation for correct operation during occupancy times. Be familiar with the building control system for plant control and diagnosing problems
- Assisting specialist contractors for access and co-ordination of repairs
Essential Criteria
The ideal applicant will have:
- Demonstrated capacity to work well in a team and unsupervised
- Fit and able to carry out physically demanding work
- Knowledge in the Pool Plant Operation is advantageous
- Similar background work history preferred
- Commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College
- Working with children check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain one
