The building has been named ‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ which means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people across the MidCoast Region.

Depending on your skills, experience and qualifications the below opportunities are available (Council is recruiting for one role only based on applications received):

Human Resources Business Partner 

 Your focus:

  • Provide accurate and timely HR support and advice
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure an understanding of their business needs and develop high quality people outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with Senior HRBPs, other HRBPs to ensure consistent delivery of services
  • Administer HR processes within the employee life cycle
  • Undertake recruitment and selection processes in accordance with Council policy and relevant legislation

Your qualifications, experience and capabilities:

  • Tertiary level qualifications (minimum degree level preferable)
  • Broad generalist experience in a human resources role in a complex and diverse organisation
  • Experience partnering with organisational leaders with a proven track record of delivering quality people outcomes
  • Strong administration capability and highly proficient in learning new systems and processes
  • Strong customer focus, ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate accountability and act with integrity

Human Resources Officer

Your focus:

  • Administer HR processes within the employee life cycle
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection processes in accordance with Council policy and relevant legislation
  • Provide advice and support to achieve high quality recruitment outcomes
  • Have a strong customer focus

 Your qualifications, experience and capabilities:

  • Strong administration capability and highly proficient in learning new systems and processes
  • Strong customer focus, ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate accountability and act with integrity
  • Experience in a HR administration role or similar is desirable

The package:

Human Resources Business Partner - Commencing salary package circa $75,600.00 per annum.

Human Resources Officer - Commencing salary package circa $62,600.00 per annum.

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
