Right now, we are investing heavily in our organisation, and our people. Our Administration Centre has relocated to a brand-new state of the art facility designed to inspire innovation, creativity and collaboration. The building has been named ‘Yalawanyi Ganya’ which means “sitting/meeting place” in the Gathang language of the indigenous people across the MidCoast Region.
The role & you:
An exciting new role exists within the Community Spaces Department for an effective and decisive leader to help shape and deliver improvements to Council’s open spaces and recreation assets across the MidCoast region. Utilising your landscape architectural skills and project delivery experience, you will guide a small team of recreation professionals to research, design and deliver projects that support the sustainable achievement of Council objectives across diverse communities and demographics within our LGA whilst being an advocate around enhancement and creation of public open spaces. The successful applicant will have demonstrated highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and encouraged to have a growth mindset.
The package: Commencing salary package circa $95,700 p.a. plus superannuation. A leaseback/commuter use vehicle is available and will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
