The role & you
MidCoast Council is currently seeking a full-time plant operator to support maintenance and operational activities in our cemeteries. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role include:
- Perform safe and efficient cemetery operations such as manual and mechanical excavation and backfilling of graves, ash interments, and memorial plaque installations.
- Operate a range of vehicle and plant items relevant to cemeteries and open space maintenance activities.
- Assist with grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks in cemeteries and open spaces.
In order to fulfill the requirements of this role you will need to hold a WHS general induction for Construction NSW (White Card), an MR licence, and an excavator operation accreditation (4.5 tonne).
The successful candidate will require a pre-employment medical check to ensure they can complete the essential requirements of the role.

Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $54,000 to $63,000 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located at 36 Arkwright Crescent Taree. You will also be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
