Applications are now invited for selection to the position of Curator – Exhibitions & Collections which sits within our Libraries, Community and Cultural Services Department.

The role & you

This position is primarily responsible for exhibition curation, art collection development and supporting gallery operations. The Curator is a member of the gallery team and provides curatorial expertise to ensure the exhibition program and collection management are professionally run, and presents high standard art practice through exhibitions, interpretive programs, and learning opportunities.

Under direction of the Gallery Director, the Curator will support day to day operations of the Manning Regional Art Gallery, public art asset management, and exhibition installation across the MidCoast Council exhibition spaces. The Curator implements the curatorial program, and installation of exhibitions and works by technicians and volunteers to ensure the achievement of outcomes in line with organisational strategies, objectives, vision and values.

The package: Commencing salary $43,538 (prorated) plus superannuation. 

Location: Your normal place of work will be the Taree Manning Regional Art Gallery. 

Tenure: Permanent Part Time, 21 hours a week.
