Casual Library Assistants - Taree and Forster
We are looking for Casual Library Assistants to join our team! These positions will be based from our Taree and Forster Library, and flexibility to work at other library sites such as Harrington, Hallidays Point, and Wingham will be highly regarded. In this role, you will support the community by providing exceptional customer service, welcoming visitors, assisting with customer transactions and enquiries, and helping maintain a friendly and inclusive library environment. You will also assist with day-to-day library operations, including shelving, promotional displays, and general tidying. You will support customers to use computers, digital collections, and other library resources, and assist with the delivery of programs and events.

Library Assistant - Harrington (Maternity leave cover)
This part-time role is a maximum term position (approximately 10 months,) Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 1:00pm at our Harrington Library. This position will provide friendly, professional customer service and support the delivery of library events and programs. You’ll engage with customers, maintain the presentation of the library, and assist people in using computers, internet services, printing, and other library technology. The position requires strong customer service skills and confidence in coordinating and delivering programs, along with the ability to learn and use library systems effectively.

Library Programs Assistant - Wingham
Our Wingham Library has an opportunity for a part-time Library Programs Assistant who will deliver engaging literacy and learning programs for all ages, including weekly Baby Rhyme Time and Preschool Storytime sessions. The hours of this role are Monday to Friday from 10am to 2pm, and availability for additional Saturday shifts is also required. In this front-facing role, you’ll support visitors with their enquiries, champion library services, and contribute to a welcoming and vibrant library environment. The successful candidate will bring creativity, confidence in presenting to diverse audiences, and a passion for promoting reading, learning, and community participation.

The package: $30.72 p/hour (+ 25% loading for casual positions)
