Home Library Assistant
Job No:
MCC6602510
Location:
Forster
The role
Our Community Outreach Team plays an important role in extending library services beyond our buildings, ensuring access to books, resources, and connection for those who can’t always visit our sites in person. Through home library deliveries, seniors programs, and inclusion initiatives, the team makes sure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to stay connected, keep learning, and enjoy the benefits of our library services.
We’re currently looking for a part-time Home Library Assistant based at Forster Library. In this role, you’ll deliver home library services directly to customers, tailoring selections to individual interests and offering readers advisory support. You’ll also contribute to outreach programs that promote inclusion and lifelong learning, ensuring our services remain welcoming and accessible to all. As part of this role you’ll also be rostered for frontline library services — welcoming visitors, answering enquiries, and helping customers access the resources and support they need.
We’re looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoys connecting with seniors and people with a disability. You should be enthusiastic about supporting library services, confident in providing readers advisory and technology assistance, and flexible in working across both outreach and frontline roles.
If you’re passionate about customer service and community, this is a chance to be part of a team that makes a real difference every day!
