As part of the team, you will undertake a variety of manual labouring tasks within the civil construction environment, with opportunities to build your skills and experience over time.
In this role, you will:

Carry out maintenance and construction works on roads, bridges and drainage infrastructure

Assist with traffic control duties as required
-
Follow environmental procedures and work practices

Work safely and in line with Work Health and Safety requirements

Support the team across a range of civil and outdoor works
To be successful, you will have:
-
A current NSW Class C Driver Licence (or higher)

A WorkCover accredited Construction Induction Card (White Card)
-
A strong understanding of Work Health and Safety procedures
-
A current Traffic Controller’s Card and Implement Traffic Control Plans Card, or willingness to obtain

A positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component)
The package: Commencing salary package range circa $53,980 to $57,300 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)
Location: Your normal place of work will be the Taree Depot located on Arkwright Crescent, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
