The role
We’re looking for a full-time Team Member Parks to join our crew based at our Gloucester depot. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving parks, sports fields, reserves, cemeteries and other public spaces across the Gloucester area. Working in a small team, you’ll help deliver high-quality, sustainable open space maintenance that the community can be proud of.
This role suits someone with a strong horticultural background who enjoys sharing knowledge and supporting the development of trainees and apprentices, and who is always looking for better ways to work.
What you'll bring
- A horticulture qualification or extensive horticultural experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in operation of horticultural plant and equipment such as ride on lawn mowers, tractors and brush cutters.
- Completed WorkCover accredited course in WHS general induction for construction work in NSW, including a demonstrated sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety procedures and experience in the proper use of tools and equipment.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 minimum).
- Currently hold or willing to obtain a First Aid Certificate and AQF Level 3 Chemical Certificate.

Salary: Commencing salary $55,918 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
Location: MidCoast Council's Gloucester Depot located at 5 Oak Street, Gloucester
Tenure:
- Permanent Full-time
- 38 hours per week
- Fortnightly rostered day off
- 6:30am to 3:30pm
