We’re on the hunt for an energetic, motivated, and community-minded individual to work directly with our locals on education and enforcement across a range of Council policies and legislation.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll be at the heart of the community, providing education and regulatory services in areas such as:

Dog control and animal management
-
Parking and unlawful camping
-
Littering and vehicles on beaches
-
Straying stock, overgrown properties, abandoned vehicles, and impounding

Who We’re Looking For:
You thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and are ready to take on responsibility with confidence. You’ll have:

Certificate IV in Local Government (Regulatory Services) and/or Rangers 1 & 2, or a willingness to obtain these qualifications

Experience in local government regulatory services and a sound understanding of relevant legislation (highly desirable)

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution

The ability to work autonomously while being a supportive team player

Please note: Successful applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment medical check, including drug and alcohol testing, sight and hearing assessment, functional testing, and a general medical review.

Salary: Salary range circa $74,700 - $82,000 p.a. plus superannuation.
A "to and from" use vehicle is available and will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time. 38 hours per week on a 7-day rotating roster.
