The role
Reporting to the Manager Projects and Engineering, the Coordinator Project Development is a key leadership role and is responsible for leading the provision of survey, design and engineering services, expertise and professional advice.
You will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of design projects relating to road, bridge, drainage and associated civil infrastructure, ensuring outcomes are achieved in accordance with Council’s strategic priorities, adopted engineering standards and legislative requirements.
What you'll bring
- Degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Extensive experience in leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of design projects relating to transport infrastructure
- The proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a team while monitoring capacity, tracking milestones and maintaining visibility of current and upcoming projects
- The ability to foster effective internal and external collaboration to support integrated project outcomes.

Salary: Commencing salary to be negotiated with successful candidate based on skills and experience within salary system range circa $119,620 - $143,500 p.a. plus superannuation.
A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. Council will provide you with a leaseback vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use.
A civil liability allowance of 3.5% applies to this position.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
