MidCoast Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Training & Development to join our Organisational Strategy and People team until the end of February 2027. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading others, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about developing people and capability across an organisation.

In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership to a small team while coordinating the delivery of training programs, developing e-learning, and working with leaders across Council to strengthen capability and confidence. From corporate induction through to broader workforce development initiatives, you’ll help shape a positive and learning-focused culture.

We’re looking for someone with proven leadership experience, a strong background in training or learning and development, and the ability to quickly pick up new systems and processes. You’ll build trust with ease, support your team through change, and keep things moving with clarity and confidence.

Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $94,000 - $104,000 p.a. plus superannuation (subject to skills and experience)

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Temporary (10-month contract), Full Time.
