The role & you

We currently have a vacancy for a team leader to join our Tea Gardens team. This role is responsible for providing the onsite supervision, coordination and management of work crews. Under their control the teams will carry out the delivery of civil infrastructure works, which may include roads, bridges, stormwater drainage and associated infrastructure assets. The role may also be required to work across other maintenance/construction functions and teams depending on business needs. 

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated and committed to delivering benefits to our community in a way that adds value and builds trust. Your confidence and ability to monitor a team and prioritise competing workloads to ensure you deliver timely, effective results and within budget, is integral to the role of Team Leader. 

You will have a positive attitude towards your work and team coupled with strong communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

It will be essential for the successful candidates to hold current formal qualifications in Civil Construction or demonstrated extensive experience.

Please note that to be a successful candidate for this role you’ll be required to complete a pre-employment medical check (this will include a drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical component)

Salary: Commencing salary package $65,910 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)  

Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located on Wanya Road, Tea Gardens 2324. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
