Band 4 - Salary Range $70,018 to $74,233 - per annum pro rata + 11% Super

The Opportunity

The Administrative Support Officer (Safety, Wellbeing and Child Safety) will be part of the Safety, Wellbeing and Child Safety team, which sits in People and Safety. The role will support Safety, Wellbeing and child safety activities across Council. The nature of the role will provide administrative support in a variety of contexts and projects pertaining to child safety and the broader safety and wellbeing functions. The role, at times, will be fast paced and time sensitive. The role will also deal with confidential and sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring email inboxes, providing baseline information and assigning to the appropriate team member for follow up.
  • Monitoring and escalating incident reports and responses to the appropriate team member.
  • Providing administrative support including as applied to reporting and project related work.
  • Assist with the preparation and scheduling of internal and external meetings.
  • Maintenance of files related to people partnering functions.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs and the ability to learn corporate systems.
  • Work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable work demands. 
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
