The Opportunity
Melton City Council seeks a fixed term full time Team Leader to manage the School Crossings, Administration and Prosecution programs for the Amenity Protection team.
The role will report to the Coordinator Amenity Protection and will supervise the 100+ School Crossing staff and 5 administration officers. They will liaise with the Community Safety department, Council’s solicitor and various other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the management of the school crossing, administration and prosecutions programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day supervision and support to School Crossing Supervisors including training, rostering, uniforms, timesheets, leave applications and the monitoring and reporting of performance.
- Provide day to day supervision and support the Administration Officers to ensure administration function for the unit are delivered within expected timeframes.
- Organise the Community Safety Department’s prosecution program including processing of documentation, court appearance, and liaison with legal representation and processing of recovered funds in line with relevant legislation.
- Lodge reports for damaged school crossings to the appropriate service unit.
- Monitor the School Crossing budget and identify any discrepancies and in conjunction with the coordinator assist with budget development.
- This position will require out of hours work (take calls to arrange replacement school crossing supervisors).
