The Opportunity
Melton City Council is seeking a self-motivated individual within the City Growth and Development department. Join our team in this newly created role as Coordinator Planning Support Services where you'll lead the administrative functions of the department, including Planning Support, Subdivisions and Enforcement.
Your leadership will contribute to the development of vibrant, well-designed communities while ensuring seamless operational support. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of an efficient and streamlined Subdivisions, Enforcement and Planning Support function within the department.
- Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff.
- Provide direct support to the Manager City Growth & Development.
- Supervise the preparation of reports and documentation as appropriate.
- Provide advice to the public and all internal and external stakeholders on relevant planning provisions.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A degree and experience in the field of specialist expertise, along with further formal qualifications in the field of expertise or in management; alternatively, lesser formal qualifications combined with extensive and diverse experience.
- Understanding of the Subdivision and Planning Enforcement processes, or a willingness to learn.
- Experience in successful team leadership and people management.
- Significant business administration, performance reporting and related project management experience.
- Experience in using, maintaining and updating development permit processing and records management systems is desirable.
