The Opportunity
In this high profile and visible role, in one of Australia’s fastest growing municipalities you will work closely with the Manager and two Senior Coordinators to manage a team of project leads to deliver councils diverse and complex portfolio.
Reporting to the Manger, Capital Delivery, this role Manages an important part of councils Portfolio Capital Delivery Program. Communicating effectively with project sponsors, owners, engineering, construction partner to ensuring accountability, and instilling a culture of excellence, to ensure all projects are delivered to an exemplary standard and provide high quality outcomes that demonstrate community benefit.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective project planning, tracking and reporting mechanisms to meet the needs of corporate reporting requirements.
- Provide leadership and management in relation to project feasibility and delivery, including project formulation (scope, planning, budgeting and programming), the development of consultant and design briefs, management of subsequent engagements and as necessary, conflict and issue resolution.
- Lead feasibility studies, master planning, schematic and concept design, design development, tender documentation, procurement and reporting under Council’s Project Management Framework.
- Bring together diverse teams of staff, consultants and contractors to deliver projects in a coordinated, responsible and inclusive manner, ensuring that all environmental, commercial, and legal requirements of projects are managed efficiently and effectively.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in project management, urban design, town planning, recreational planning, engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Substantial experience in the delivery and management of capital works, including feasibility, pre-planning, design and delivery of capital projects.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, guidance and direction in project management across a medium/large size organisation.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
