The Opportunity
Our mission is to manage and maintain infrastructure for the benefit of our community in our fast-growing municipality. Reporting to the Civil Operations Coordinator the position will liaise with Melton Council staff, residents, consultants, contractors, and other Authorities. You will work in a team environment to monitor, audit, assess, procure, and deliver civil infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and process Asset Protection applications
- Deliver minor capital and recurrent works programs.
- Audit and monitor road reinstatements as part of the Road Management Act
- Administer Shared Fencing Cost, Corporate Signage applications and Nature-Strip enquiries.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical area recognised by the Institute of Engineers with some relevant experience or lesser qualifications with relevant experience.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance, OH & S, Traffic Management requirements and Road Management Act.
- Ability to co-ordinate and deliver minor capital works and recurrent works programs, inspect and assess civil works against Council standards.
- Monitor budgets and prepare reports for managers on project or program expenditure and progress.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Construction industry Occupational Health and Safety Induction Card (such as “red card” or “white card”).
