The Opportunity
The Campaigns Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Council’s digital channels and the development and execution of comprehensive, multichannel campaigns aimed at enhancing Council’s reputation among key target audiences.
This role will oversee campaign execution, collaborating closely with internal experts across various functions and the broader Council, including functions in web, digital, internal communications, content, creative, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
The Campaigns Coordinator will Lead the development, execution, and evaluation of digital and marketing campaigns as well as:
- Develop and execute creative campaign briefs and plans with external agencies, ensuring all creative and advertising reaches the right audience, at the right time, with the right message.
- Create high-level narratives, compelling concepts, creative videos, and graphics that align with Council’s brand.
- Provide strategic directions and oversee management of Council's websites, social media platforms, and broader digital communications strategy.
- Provide advice regarding campaigns and strategy for social media and digital channels and develop and implement plans that deliver on the strategies.
- Coordinate a calendar of campaign activities, including communications and campaigns that support broader advertising, and ad-hoc campaigns with specific tactical objectives.
- Liaise with design, media and creative agencies and other external providers to ensure campaigns are implemented on time and to a high standard.
- Coordinate and plan email campaigns, from strategy and implementation, through to post-campaign tracking, analysis, and reporting.
- Ensure brand reputation and tone of voice is maintained to improve engagement across all areas of the business and supports Melton City Council’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor digital channels for issues of importance and implement strategic communications activities as necessary to ensure Council’s position is advocated clearly and easily understood.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Degree in Marketing or Communications with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the planning, development, execution, and evaluation of integrated digital communications campaigns.
- Extensive experience managing digital channels, including websites and social media accounts.
- Proficient in project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Pragmatic and inclusive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
