The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented System Application Support Officer to join the City of Melton as we embark on a Technology Change Program (TCP) to improve efficiency and productivity, enhance innovation, support data driven decision making and improve customer experience and employee satisfaction. The successful candidate will maintain, configure and manage Council’s OneCouncil system/platform (TechnologyOne).
Reporting to the TCP IT Test Lead, you will be responsible for system configuration, troubleshooting technical issues and solutions, supporting and training users and acting as the key point of contact with the vendor and stakeholders to plan, test and manage issues, updates and enhancements.
You’ll also be expected to ensure smooth operations, provide support for technical integrations and tackle various challenges. It’s a supportive environment that encourages and values collaboration and you’ll be working with a diverse, committed and motivated team.
We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about application support, works well as part of a team, collaborates effectively with internal staff and project teams and enjoys working on a technology change program to enhance efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of the TechnologyOne OneCouncil platform across the Council environment.
- Work to achieve self-set goals, in an environment where there are large volumes of customer requests conflicting priorities and competing expectations.
- Provide onsite and remote software application support for SaaS and non-SaaS software for both the test and production environments, and for network issues for end users.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, escalating to higher-level support when necessary.
- Negotiate with stakeholders, peers, industry bodies and other government agencies while collaborating with internal teams to support business goals and IT initiatives delivering solutions for process improvements.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification, in IT, or equivalent in Computer Science, IT or a related field or significant similar experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in IT support or system administration, configuration, administration, and maintenance of business information applications within the Microsoft tech stack e.g. SQL databases, PowerShell and APIs etc.
- Experience managing ERP and other systems (TechnologyOne OneCouncil platform desirable).
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
