About the role
We are looking for someone to backfill in our Unit Manager Social Support role for 6 months.
Our Social Support Unit is one of three units in our Aged and Community Support Branch.
Social Support Unit has:
- Meals Production and Delivery (we produce and provide meals to clients in Merri-bek and have subcontract arrangements with Yarra, Banyule and Darebin Council). We produce and deliver up to 600 meals per day and staff team is 30 people.
- Social Support Groups which is a mix of activities at centres and out and about experiences. We have a staff team of 6 people
- Community Transport service where we have 4 buses, 9 staff and service around 150 clients per week
- You will directly supervise 5 people and oversee a team of 45 in the Unit
An exciting opportunity to work in a Branch who is delivering services to our community, preparing for Aged Care reform and has a dedicated team.
