About the role
Part of Merri-bek’s Communications Unit, this new, temporary position will sit within the Digital and Design team and reports to the Digital Experience Specialist. In this pivotal role, the Digital Content Officer ensures Council provides great customer service with quality and accurate information across digital channels, including the website, HelpHub (Council’s internal knowledge bank), and the intranet.
We are seeking a communications professional with experience working with digital content and website management. You will have strong project management skills, highly developed writing, editing and proofing skills. This role requires you to build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
- Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, public relations, digital media, website design or a related discipline with some communications and publications experience; or a lesser qualification with substantial relevant communications and publications experience.
- Exposure to project management principles.
- Experience working with digital content and website management.
- Highly developed writing, editing and proofing skills.
