MGM Bulk is a thriving haulage business looking for an experienced heavy haulage Operations Superintendent to join the MGM team. This role presents a unique opportunity to assist in leading our heavy haulage operations and transport fleet.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Operations Superintendent to join our Port Hedland team in either a residential or FIFO capacity. The successful candidate will be assisting the Branch Manager in the operation functions of the branch as well as providing supervision and leadership to the team within the branch on 16 days on 12 days off roster.
We are looking for a dynamic individual that has worked within a similar role for a minimum of 3-5 years that wants to develop their career further with a business that will only grow from strength to strength.
What skills are needed for the role?
- Sound understanding of laws and regulations relating to the operation of heavy vehicles, transportation, driver fatigue, chain of responsibility and vehicle weights
- Understanding of cost imperatives relating to the effective scheduling of the fleet
- Advanced risk mitigation skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Experience using MS Office Suite for document creation and maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Establish and maintain effective relationships throughout all levels of the business
- Sustain a positive attitude and outlook within the workplace
- Ability to lead a team to achieve goals and KPIs
