As a family owned business with 65 years' experience within the bulk haulage industry, MGM Bulk is one of the leading companies in transport, providing a range of services including bulk haulage, storage, ship loading, and stockpile management.
We are currently seeking applications for a Workshop Storeperson to join our Port Hedland Branch. The successful candidate will be a crucial member of our team, responsible for the management of our workshop stock and ensuring that our maintenance team have the correct supplies to perform their tasks.
This position would be suitable for local residents but FIFO applications will also be considered ex Perth on a 2:1 roster. Candidates must be available to work both day and night shift.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Maintain stock levels, including ordering and invoicing of parts and consumables
- Liaise with management to ensure critical parts are available for servicing and maintenance
- Perform stock control duties, including data entry into spreadsheets
- Ensure stock is properly stored and follows HSEQ standards
- Communicate with suppliers on stock numbers and procurement
- Load/unload deliveries with a forklift
- Maintain storeroom and yard areas to ensure they are safe and clean
- Actively participate in safety initiatives
What skills, experience and qualifications are required for this role?
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Certificate II or III in Warehousing advantageous
- Stock inventory management experience highly regarded
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel)
- Time management and the ability to prioritise your workload
- Valid C Class Drivers Licence
- Forklift ticket and experience
