Due to growth at our Northwest Branch, we are seeking a HSEQ Advisor to assist with the implementation of the HSEQ plan across the branch.
We are looking for a dynamic individual that has worked within a similar role for a minimum of 5 years that wants to develop their career further with a business that is growing from strength to strength.
Supported by the HSEQ Superintendent you will be responsible for implementing the company and client specific safety initiatives within the branch and will drive compliance with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of legislative requirements (i.e. WHS Act / Regulations and WHS Mines Regulations)
- Provide practical HSE advice to operational personnel
- Conduct and review site risk assessments and identified hazards
- Ensure site compliance with the WA Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Standards
- Provide ongoing statistical and end of month data reporting
- Manage compliance aspects of both transport and non-transport site contractors
- Effectively review and close out data recorded in MGM Incident Management System
- Carry out induction and training functions with new employees
- Support the team with investigations into incidents
- Provide support to branch team members to ensure compliance with management systems that are accredited to ISO 9001 and modelled on AS/NZS 4801 & ISO 14001
To be successful for this position you will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Experience using MS Office Suite and other software packages
- Exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout all levels of the business
- Strong leadership skills that result in achievement of goals and KPIs
- Knowledge and understanding of WHS Legislative Framework
- A positive attitude and outlook within the workplace
- Formal qualifications in WHS and Training will prove to be highly advantageous.
