MGM Bulk is a thriving haulage business looking for an experienced heavy haulage Fleet Supervisor to join the MGM team. This role presents a unique opportunity to assist in leading and supervising our heavy haulage operators and transport fleet.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Fleet Supervisor to join our Port Hedland team in either a residential or FIFO capacity. To be successful you must be passionate about making tonnage requirements and deadlines whilst demonstrating a strong focus on safety and employee leadership. You will need to exhibit an understanding of all aspects of bulk transport contracts with specific attention to the technical requirements of fleet management.
We are looking for a dynamic individual that has worked within a similar role for a minimum of 3-5 years that wants to develop their career further with a business that will only grow from strength to strength. You must have a sound understanding of the laws and regulations relating to the operation of heavy vehicles, transportation, driver fatigue and accredited mass management.
What skills are needed for the role?
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout all levels of the business, especially with employees from all different backgrounds and demographics
- Strong leadership skills that result in achievement of goals and KPIs
- An understanding of cost imperatives relating to the effective scheduling of the fleet
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
- Intermediate levels of computer literacy especially MS Excel, Outlook and Word
- Knowledge and understanding of OHS and Main Roads Legislative Framework
