Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.

  

Your new role

Located in Flemington, McLean Lodge offers affordable, high-quality accommodation and support to 27 people aged 50 years and over.  McLean Lodge offers a delightful cottage setting which provides a safe, caring family-style environment for residents who enjoy a connection with the outdoors.

 

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cleaners to join our small and tight-knit team on a Part-Time basis. Flexible start and finish times available to suit your work life balance. 

 

The available shifts to be split across successful candidates are as below:

Week 1: Monday – Sunday (5-hour shift) – Variable start times from 8am daily

Week 2: Monday – Sunday (5-hour shift)

 

 Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To clean resident rooms, office space and staff rooms
  • To clean and maintain storage areas.
  • To maintain stock levels and cleaners room
  • To clean duplex bathrooms and laundries on a scheduled cycle
  • Managing and administering of cigarette program to residents
  • Cleaning duties as per schedule.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • A current Food Handlers certificate preferred or a willingness to undertake Food Safety Training.
  • Prior Food Services experience in Aged or Community Care (highly advantageous)
  • Good understanding of Food Safety Requirements
  • Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously
  • Adaptability to changes in the environment.
