Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individuals to work within the Water and Waste Services team.

  • Permanent Full-Time – 35 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLES

The Administration Officer role provides administrative support and a high quality level of customer services for the Water and Waste Services Team to ensure  the necessary operations and services are carried out efficiently and effectively.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications: 

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Relevant work experience in the following areas: Administration support, preparation of correspondence and reports and customer service record keeping procedures.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholder’s service and ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to exercise judgement and clarity in prioritising issues.
  • Demonstrated competence in internal and external customer service including the provision of requested information and follow through on requests.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both as a team member and unsupervised whilst producing high-quality work under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated numeracy, written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and PowerPoint packages.
  • General Construction and Induction card
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
