Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to work within the Corporate and Community Department as their new Governance Coordinator!

  • Attractive Salary ranging from $83,028.40 to $95,482.40 per year. 
  • Permanent, Full-Time Career Opportunity – 35 hours per week OR open to negotiating part-time hours
  • Rostered day off every 3 weeks - an extra 17 days off a year

The Governance Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Council's governance functions, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements and facilitating effective decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating council meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining governance records, and providing advice on governance matters.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of local government processes and governance frameworks.

  • Experience in a similar role within a Local Government setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The salary for the Governance Coordinator position at Moree Plains Shire Council ranges from $83,028.40 to $95,482.40, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
