Located at Howard Smith Wharves, Mr Percival’s Overwater Bar takes inspiration from iconic European beach clubs with its very own unique Brisbane twist. You’ll feel like it’s summer all year-long, making it a must-visit for locals, interstate tourists and global tastemakers.
We are currently recruiting for a newly created position, Assistant Operations Manager. This role will work closely with the Operations Managers to support the day-to-day operations of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the guest experience and continually looking for opportunities to improve
- Lead and coach a diverse team of people ensuring that team culture is at the forefront of everything that you do
- Monitoring of wages, comps and wastages
- Team member rostering in line with forecasting and budgeting
- Assisting the guests with any feedback and actioning as appropriate
- Contribute to a culture of care and safety, ensuring it becomes a way of life within the business
- Ensuring venue presentation is always at a high standard
- A high knowledge of the product produced in venue
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience managing high-volume, late-night hospitality venues
- RMLV and Approved Manager certification
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Confident floor presence with strong people and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and manage a large team with professionalism and energy
- Comfortable managing compliance, RSA, and venue safety standards
- Experience with venue reporting, opening and closing procedures, and stock control
