Located at Howard Smith Wharves, Mr Percival’s Overwater Bar takes inspiration from iconic European beach clubs with its very own unique Brisbane twist. You’ll feel like it’s summer all year-long, making it a must-visit for locals, interstate tourists and global tastemakers.

We’re growing our team and are currently searching for talented Bartenders and experienced Barbacks to help us deliver exceptional guest experiences and elevate our vibrant bar offering.

Bartender’s key responsibilities include:

• Greet all guests with a friendly and personable attitude.
• Have an extensive knowledge of the Mr Percival’s cocktails and classics.
• Always keep your section of the bar clean and tidy.
• Use correct POS and cash handling procedures.
• Always ensure RSA compliance on shift.
• Set up the restaurant or function in line with the venue’s requirements.
• Follow company policies and procedures and vision.
• Promote positive guest service standards on each shift to ensure standards of excellence are provided.
• Participate in all pre/post shift briefings to assist with the smooth transition and handover between shifts.

What we are looking for:

• Extensive knowledge of various spirits and classic cocktail recipes
• Experience in high volume and fast-paced venues is desirable
• Friday, Saturday & Sunday availability is essential
• Valid Queensland RSA is essential
• Undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, memorable experiences
• Be a positive and collaborative team player
• Open to learning and ready for growth

Barback’s key responsibilities include:

• Welcome guests with a friendly, personable attitude
• Keep bars stocked throughout service
• Maintain clean and tidy storerooms, back bars, and glass areas
• Follow correct stock handling and batching procedures
• Report maintenance issues promptly

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a glassie or barback in a high‑volume venue
• Flexibility across nights and weekends
• Valid RSA
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Pride in delivering consistent, memorable experiences
• A positive, team‑focused mindset
• Openness to learning and developing your skills
