Your new role
We are currently seeking proactive Enrolled Endorsed Nurses to join our friendly and dynamic team working amongst our 4 Residential Aged Care homes located throughout Melbourne on a Part Time and Casual Basis. Locations include Gilgunya (Coburg), McLean Lodge (Flemington), Port Melbourne Hostel (Port Melbourne), and Williamstown Hostel (Williamstown). The schedule will comprise of the below three types of shifts:
Morning Shift: 0700 – 1500
Evening Shift: 1430 – 2215
Overnight Shift: 2200 – 0715
You must be available to attend an Interview on Wednesday 18th March 2026 in Coburg (VIC)
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Assisting residents with personal care including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living
- Assisting residents with nursing care tasks based on their assessed care needs
- Assisting in formal assessment processes and contribute to individual plans of care
- Providing complex care, such as wound management and palliative care
- Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
- Assessing, monitoring, reporting and document changes in a resident’s physical or clinical condition.
- Undertaking medication management and treatment procedures, as directed by the Residential Site Manager or person in charge
- Liaising with medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health services to provide relevant services for the care and wellbeing of the residents
- Assisting in the implementation of cigarette and alcohol programs
- Observing and reporting changes in residents’ behaviour or physical condition and maintain appropriate documentation as required
- Providing social and emotional support to residents (person centred holistic care).
- Assisting residents to access appropriate leisure options in partnership with recreation workers.
- Attending appointments with residents as required
- Assisting residents to access services they require
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Ability to work both in team and autonomously
- Cert IV/Diploma of Nursing (with current AHPRA Registration)
- Prior experience in housing & homelessness support, aged care, welfare, disability support, mental health or community/home care
- Keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
- A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
