The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at our Liverpool NSW bakery, which is the largest manufacturing site in our APAC network.

 

Whether you are an experienced Maintenance Manager looking to lead, influence and create a meaningful change or a Maintenance Supervisor ready to take the next level in leadership - this role will offer you the right plaform to grow, lead and make an impact!

 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager on-site, you’ll lead a team of skilled mechanical and electrical technicians, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure our bakery equipment is safe, efficient, and reliable to meet daily production demands.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead maintenance activities, including scheduled work orders and maintenance down days.
  • Supervise the maintenance team and 3rd party contractors, monitoring performance, offering guidance, mentoring and development as needed.
  • Partner closely with Production and other departments to resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
  • Oversee engineering staff rosters to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records, including preventative maintenance schedules, machine history, purchase orders, and capital expenditure requests.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure timely ordering and availability.
  • Provide after-hours support as required for the engineering team during urgent breakdowns or safety/food safety incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with ARYZTA quality policies and procedures related to food safety, product quality, safety, and environment.

 

About You:

We are looking for an action-oriented Maintenance Manager with strong people leadership skills and the ability to build solid relationships with key stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering trade qualification or an engineering degree as a minimum level of education.
  • Previous experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing or a relevant industry will be highly regarded.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive change, people development and teams engagement.
  • The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and knowledge of preventative maintenance programs. MEX CMMS experience will be highly regarded.
