The Opportunity
This rewarding CFO opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion….
This is a pivotal role supporting a very worthwhile cause.
Why? Because together the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ), the Motor Accident Insurance Commission (MAIC) and the Nominal Defendant (ND) provide a safety net for people injured in motor vehicle accidents on Queensland roads.

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Business and Advisory Services, you will be able to use your creativity and innovation to contribute towards a proactive and progressive employee performance culture.
Other important things that matter include budget development, performance monitoring, strategic analysis and the provision of policy, financial and business performance advisory services.
In this role you will also have the privilege of leading a small but highly capable management team of three and indirectly leading a diverse and talented team of 15+ staff across the finance, procurement, corporate governance, and facilities areas.
The Successful Candidate
In a nutshell….if you have:
- Vision and proven leadership and can solve complex issues within challenging and ambiguous environments.
- Expertise to strategically plan and manage finance and related programs across multiple entities.
- Commercial acumen and operational management including procurement, corporate governance, risk management and facilities management.
- Natural leadership capabilities and a results orientated focus.
- Capabilities to build a confident, inclusive, and highly capable, participative workforce.
- Policy development, corporate governance, and operational management capabilities across multiple business areas.
- Qualifications including Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) conferred by CPA Australia or Chartered Accountant (CA) conferred by CA ANZ, and/or member of the IPA, entitled to use the letters MIPA or FIPA….

Remuneration
Remuneration and benefits include:
- A core remuneration package between AU$162,742 – AU$178,543 including superannuation.
