Job Type Part Time - 9.00am to 5.00pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Plus one weekend per month: 
Saturday 10.00am - 12.00 noon
Sunday 2.00pm - 5.00pm
Tenure Permanent
Location Stawell
Package $30.15 per hour plus superannuation

The Role

This position is responsible for connecting patrons and visitors with the information and resources to enhance lifelong learning.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assist library patrons and community members to source materials and information, borrow, reserve, renew and return library materials. 
  • Develop and deliver programs and services to the community, including but not limited to storytelling, school holiday programs, housebound services, class visits and related activities/events.
  • File/store all library stock correctly to ensure resources are easily accessible. 
  • Collect payments for library services and products.
  • Operate and assist patrons in the use of ICT equipment.
  • Mend and repair library items.
  • Actively promote library resources to the community regularly.   
  • Perform, as directed, other duties that are within the limits of the incumbents’ skill, competence and training. 

Qualifications and experience

  • Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent experience in a similar field. 

Selection criteria

  1. Demonstrated numeracy, written and oral communication skills. 
  2. Demonstrated customer service experience.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer hardware and software programs.
