The Role

We are seeking an upbeat, bubbly Receptionist / Office Administrator for our Erina office. Reporting to the Office Manager and supporting a small but busy team, you will provide effective support to enhance the office environment and ensure a positive experience of working with Northrop for both clients and visitors. The role will also include working with Business Support teams in our other offices.

Key duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • General reception duties, including screening incoming calls and greeting visitors
  • Supplies control (stationery, groceries and office supplies)
  • Database updates
  • Filing and records management
  • Invoicing
  • Writing and assisting with fee proposals
  • Assistance with debtors
  • General office tidiness, taking pride in the appearance of the office

While this role is advertised as a full time position, options for a flexible work hour’s arrangement are also available.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can successfully operate in a highly autonomous, yet supportive, environment. The following attributes and experience are required to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role would be viewed upon highly favourably with experience in customer service or hospitality also of interest.
  • Proficient computer skills, including competence in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Experience in finance administration, including invoicing, is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to speak and write clearly and concisely.
  • Initiative and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new, wide-ranging tasks
  • High work standards and attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy for all tasks.
  • Reliability, capable of working well with people at all levels.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and helpful approach.
