Sales Analyst - Canadian Natural

JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

Provide analytical and administrative support to the Canadian Natural Sales team to drive the shared objectives of building the brand, increasing sales, identifying whitespace and managing trade spend in the Natural Channel.

 CRITICAL OUTCOMES

  • Assists the Canadian Natural Sales Team by:
    • Generating sales and spend reports for Natural Channel monthly
    • Providing support in the internal trade management system (SM1) as requested by the Natural Team Lead
    • Pulling Market information reports (Nielsen/POS/Springboard or Customer Portals) and providing analysis as requested by the team
    • Sourcing and compiling monthly distributor reports to submit for analysis
    • Compiling price audit information, by region, banner, category and SKU
    • Organize and manage all the Natural Channel trade shows (CHFA)
    • Assisting Natural Sales Team in completing retailer forms which include (but are not limited to) new product creation, price changes, deal sheets and new vendor set up
    • Maintaining contact lists for Sales/Retailer/New Item Launches
    • Distributing memos including launches, Discontinuations, Company movement and updates
  • Provide administrative support by:
    • Managing sample requests from the Sales Team which includes updating Operations with
    • team sample forecasts
    • Creating promotional driven sell sheets for Natural Team
    • Providing Brokers/Distributors with product all certificates, Allergen information and packaging materials
    • Coordinating meetings, lunches, snacks, and travel
  • Distribution of trade kits:
    • Assisting with distribution of trade samples to all Channels in Canada
    • Alignment with warehouse to ensure all shipping is accurate and on time
    • Working with Marketing on promotional catalogue with product requests and quantities
  • Manages and updates systems by:
    • Maintaining the GS1
    • Creating portal, updating and managing Sales Parts in IFS for Sales, Marketing and Operations
    • Creating, updating, managing and distributing pricing from IFS/Excel
    • Liaising with Brand to ensure that all product information has the correct information (e.g. bilingual weight in grams/ounces, nutritional panel as relevant per country, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • Graduation with Grade 12 from a Secondary School or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Post-Secondary courses, diploma or degree an asset

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role of this position
  • Attention to detail and self-starter
  • Analytical skills complemented with thorough knowledge of MS Office, Database Management
  • Previous role in sales/marketing support/administration/Customer Service
  • Previous experience in the food industry desirable but not essential
