North Sydney Council’s historic Coal Loader site on the Waverton Peninsula has been transformed from an industrial coal dock-front to a regionally significant sustainability centre. Opened in 2011, the 2.3ha Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability showcases innovation, enables hands-on learning about sustainability, and serves as a community meeting hub for Council's extensive range of environmental and sustainability programs.
The role
Council is seeking to permanently fill the position of Coal Loader Support Officer, based at our Coal Loader Sustainability Centre on Sydney Harbour in Waverton.
The Coal Loader Support Officer will assist the Coal Loader Coordinator in the everyday management of the site. They will be responsible for open space and asset management of the site and Sustainability Centre, administration support for Coal Loader education programs and activations, customer service and day to day operations. This position will play a key support role in the delivery of the environmental education, placemaking and sustainability objectives of the Centre. It provides an exciting opportunity for a customer facing role at a busy and operationally diverse Centre for Sustainability at one of Sydney’s most unique heritage sites.

Salary Range: $68,559 to $81,866 per annum + $1,000 pa Transport allowance + 11% superannuation
